Louisiana Redbud Festival

The Louisiana Redbud Festival has attracted a yearly average of 10,000 guests. Food and craft vendors have stretched from across the state to places, such as Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi. These vendors offer everything from jewelry and jams to clothing and art.

"The Redbud Festival was originally created to showcase the redbud trees in Vivian, while celebrating our heritage," said Ashley Ezell, Louisiana Redbud Festival president. "In the early years, the event lasted nearly two months and residents dressed in colonial styled costumes, but now everyone dresses casually during the one-day only event."
