Cajun Food Tours is a well-run enterprise. The 3.5-hour tour included five stops at various eateries that provided a sampling of Cajun fare. At the end of the tour, expect to be full. The colorful bus is comfortable and well-appointed. Our tour guide, Jay, shared a wealth of information about Cajun cuisine and culture, while keeping us entertained with an engaging sense of humor. All of the foods were delicious, by the way. I like that they vary the venues to help ensure new experiences for repeat customers; however, I do think every tour should include all of the basic foods that represent Cajun fare. Something that featured craw fish should have been among the foods we sampled. Also, no Cajun tour should exclude ettoufee. It's an iconic Cajun and Creole dish that should be included on each and every Cajun food tour. The tour was nevertheless an outstanding experience -- a lot of fun -- and I look forward to another.
