Choose a tour time when purchasing your ticket for this event.

Take a boat ride and get a perspective of New Iberia, Dave Robicheaux's Hometown. A tour on Bayou Teche with local guide describing its history, efforts to preserve and maintain it, and highlighting points of interest along the way returning to New Iberia City Park. Sponsored by The TECHE Project.

In the event of inclement weather, alternate entertainment will be offered at Shadows Visitor Center. 320 East Main St.

1:30 to 5:30: L'Acadian Art Guild Exhibit

Exhibit featuring original artwork created by our many talented artists will be on display Friday through Sunday during Library hours. A reception to meet the artist will be on Friday from 1:00-2:00. Visit for more information. Sponsored by L'Acadian Art Guild

2:00 - Best of Enemies Movie Screening

Free screening of movie based on the novel by the 2020 Great Southern Writer Osha Davidson. A timely drama that centers on an unlikely relationship between Ann Atwater (Taraji P. Henson), an outspoken civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis (Sam Rockwell), a local Ku Klux Klan leader who reluctantly co-chaired a community summit, battling over the desegregation of schools in Durham, North Carolina during the racially-charged summer of 1971. The incredible events that unfolded would change Durham and the lives of Atwater and Ellis forever.

3:00 - 5:00: Symphony Sunday in the Park

Concert by Acadiana Symphony Orchestra in the shade of New Iberia City Park's beautiful Live Oaks. Grab a blanket or a chair, bring a snack or buy one onsite. A food truck vendor will be selling food beginning at 12:30 p.m. Inclement weather location will be the Sugar Cane Festival Building on 600 Parkview Drive. This Free concert is sponsored by the Iberia Cultural Resources Association.
